Villa Roma Opening Procedures

First and foremost, Villa Roma Resort is dedicated to the health and safety of our guests and staff. We are proactively monitoring the recent situation of  CoVID-19, and are following best practice guidelines and hospitality services protocols issued by the CDC and World Health Organization, as well as our state and federal officials.

 Although we have had no incidents of the virus at Villa Roma, the Villa Roma has been closed since March 15 in an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our staff and guests. We look forward to welcoming you back after we re-open and can’t wait to help your family create more fun-filled moments. To all of our beloved Villa Roma Family- our staff, our guests, and our community- please stay safe and healthy.

We will continue to stay connected with federal and state health officials to monitor the ongoing situation and provide our guests with additional updates as warranted.

 If you have a reservation during this temporary closure, our reservations team will be reaching out to your directly. Please note that we are experiencing high call volumes and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

Year-round, we employ the use of hospital-grade cleaning detergents and take additional precautions during the heightened cold and flu season.  Given the current situation, we have elevated our aggressive sanitation measures in all public areas and touch points. We also have additional hand sanitization stations located in our dining areas. Ensuring the continued well-being of our Villa Roma guests and staff is of paramount importance to us.

Yes, you can see the maitre d’ on the day of check-in for your seating arrangements throughout your stay. The times and where to make your reservations will be on the daily activities schedule when you check in.

Yes, we welcome your guests, but please let the maitre d’ know prior to the meal so he/she can make the appropriate seating and payment arrangements.

Dress for meals is casual. For Dinners, men are requested to wear collared shirts. No hats, please.

Yes, anyone is welcome to dine at the Villa Roma, but are expected to follow the same guidelines as a guest.

Yes, the maitre d’ will need to have a 24 hrs advance notice in order for the bakery to fulfill your request. Please see the maitre d’ on your check-in day or the day before the special occasion to make the arrangements. There is an additional cost.

Yes we can. Always advise the maitre d’ and server prior to ordering, and we will try to accommodate your dietary needs.

General Stay

The resort is located in the foothills of the New York’s, Catskill Mountains, in Western Sullivan County. For more detailed directions, click here.

For hotel guests’ meals, accommodations and entertainment are included along with the use of the facility. Some activities do have nominal fees and they are indicated. During Spring, Summer and Fall our Unlimited Fun Package includes use of go carts, bumper boats, archery tag, fun park with rock wall and inflatable’s, bowling, and zipline.

European plan rates are also available. These rates only include the guest room accommodation and complimentary use of some facilities and entertainment.

We do offer day trips to local attractions such as The Resorts World Catskills Casino, Monticello Racino, New York City, Woodbury Commons and a Rafting Trip on the Delaware River. These Trips are scheduled for specific days and some are seasonal. These trips are based on a first come basis and have a minimum participation requirement. All these trips do have nominal fees associated with them. For more information contact the service desk. May be limited due to Covid-19 – Please inquire at the Service Desk

The first night’s stay is required for a deposit when making reservations. To insure confirmation of reservations, a credit card number needs to be given at time of reservation. All deposits are automatically credited toward the last day of your scheduled stay. Deposits will be refunded only if the Cancellation Notice is received at least one week prior to scheduled date of arrival. Early Departures forfeit their deposit.

We do not provide transportation to the hotel but we can make arrangements through local service providers for you. Call 1-800-533-6767 and ask for the Service Desk.

From Memorial Day thru Columbus Day, Coach USA (Service Currently Suspended) operates door to door bus service from NYC Port Authority to Villa Roma as well as shuttles to local attractions.

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. A credit card or full payment is required at Check-In.

We do not allow pets, but there are many wonderful kennels in the area. Call 1-800-533-6767 and ask for the Service Desk for more information.

If you are a hotel guest you check-in at the front desk of the main hotel. Check- in is at 4pm on your arrival day and checkout is 12pm on your departure day.

For our Timeshare guests Sunday check-in is 4pm and checkout is the following Sunday at 10am. If you are a Timeshare guest checking in between the hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday – Saturday and Sunday 9am – 8pm you will check in at the Timeshare Office located just beyond the main hotel entrance. If you arrive after the Timeshare office closes then you may check-in at the front desk of the main hotel.

Yes, the resort has a list of babysitters available and arrangements can be made through the service desk at 1-800-533-6767. We also offer seasonally children’s programs from 9 pm to midnight with full drop off care. Please call to make sure this service will be available during your stay. Camp is provided during the summer season and select holiday periods. Camp times vary depending on the age of the child. Camp begins around 10 am and ends around 4:30 for the younger children and for the teens and preteens we have evening activities that run until 12 am. Camp schedule changes daily. No, generally seating is on first come first, served basis. So make sure to get to the shows early.

Our social staff provides a full array of fun activities all day long. Most are included, but some activities have nominal charges like BINGO, horse racing, and arts and crafts. They will be indicated on the daily itinerary if they have additional charges.

Yes, if there is something that is just for children or adults, it will be specified on the daily activity schedule.

There is no charge for the Gym for Hotel Guests or Timeshare Guests during their scheduled week. There is a charge for Timeshare Guests on any non-owned weeks. Local residents are welcome to also use the gym for a small membership fee.

Yes, we have the Daily News, New York Post, New York Times, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal which can be purchased at the front desk.

Yes! Villa Roma is happy to announce that we offer high-speed wireless Internet access. Depending on your location signal strength may vary.

Villa Roma Resort is a no smoking facility in all indoor public and private guest areas.


Yes we offer cribs to both hotel and timeshare guests at no additional charge, but cots will only be available to hotel guests.

Yes. We also have complimentary coffee for early birds in the Roman Garden Café.

The suites and super deluxe rooms are furnished with refrigerators. It is a $10 per night charge if you would like one in the deluxe or standard rooms*. Please request at time of reservation.

Birthday Parties

We recommend booking 2 months prior to your preferred date. Please contact us and we will get back to you within 48 hours. Bookings for Villa Roma Resort are subject to availability and weather conditions and should be booked as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Bookings dates are subject to availability and must be confirmed at least 7 days before the actual date of the event.

There are several venues to choose from including Villa Roma Resort’s indoor pool, Inflatable Funland and Gamer lounge with Wii Playstation & Xbox. Also Seasonal options are available.

There will be 2 Hours allocated in each standard package. You can extend the time of your party for an added price per child with at least five days notice.

No. The package price is the minimum for a party.

Each party package is catered for 10 children. Each additional child will have further charges, depending on the chosen package.

Yes. The birthday party packages are for a minimum of 10 children.

Children under 3 are free to attend the party but they won’t enjoy their own seat at the party table and we are unable to cater additional food and beverage for them.

Guests can come in 15 minutes before the party time. The birthday family can arrive 30 minutes before the party to settle down before receiving their guests.

Kids’ food is included in our party packages and you can pre-order an adult menu as well. Outside food, including birthday cake, and drinks are not permitted.

Yes, themed cakes are available at an additional cost of $70++ for parties held in Villa Roma Resort.
