Hunter Hayes is an accomplished performer whose career spans decades in music, television, and live entertainment. Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Hayes began playing saxophone as a teenager and quickly developed his talent performing with local bands. Over the years he has performed with groups such as Hot Line and recorded under De-Lite Records, the label known for artists like Kool & The Gang.

His career includes appearances at renowned venues including The Apollo Theater and Paradise Garage in New York City, as well as performing as the house band leader at the Peppermint Lounge in Orange, NJ. Hayes later signed with Island Records and Columbia Records, releasing charting club songs and original music.

Beyond performing, Hunter Hayes has composed music for television and special productions, including the New Jersey Song and the theme for the television program Due Process, work that earned him seven Emmy Awards. His recordings include the album It’s A Wonderful Life featuring the hit “Spanish Love Song.”
