Sports Complex

The Villa Roma gym also holds our Sports Complex which has various things offered like bowling, racquetball, pickle ball, wally ball, and a kids inflatable fun center, for just a minimal fee. The bowling alley is even open to the general public as well.

Weather Dependant

The Catskills are the perfect place to spend your summer. Being outdoors in the sun doesn’t always mean swimming though. We offer plenty of outdoor sports on the property such as golf, basketball, volleyball, handball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, bocce, and softball. All of these sports are complementary to our guests.

Our children’s playground is a great place to let your kids run around, and right next to it is our bumper boat pond. Go carts, our rock wall climbing, and spider climb and slide are also all offered on property. A short walk away will bring you to our catch and release fishing pond that can be a very relaxing area to spend your early mornings. If fishing isn’t your way to relax and you need to get yourself moving instead you can try walking around our hiking trail along the outside edge of our property through the woods.

Warm days always provide something entertaining around the Villa Roma Resort. We hate to kick you out, but sometimes being out side is better, and when you need to cool back off and get out of the sun come join us for one of our many dining experiences.

Game Room

Bringing family and friends together couldn’t be easier with the plethora of gaming options available indoors at The Villa Roma. There’s never a dull moment with the game room no matter what unexpected weather we get in the Catskill Mountains. Your kids and you will have plenty of activities to immerse in. Also in our game room we offer a seasonal Kids Korner which involves engaging activities to keep young ones busy while you take care of yourselves. But the fun doesn’t stop there, the party can continue on at our pools, sports complex, or even our ski hill.

Fly from the skies over our bumper boat pond, this ride is for all ages and is a brand new addition to the Villa Roma property. We’re excited to have you try something new with us here. Pools, Hot Tubs, & Saunas

Whether you’re wading in the waters of one of our heated pools, splashing in one of our feature pools, or basking in the warmth of our saunas and hot tubs, Villa Roma has the remedy for your body’s every aquatic desire.

The indoor and outdoor pools will be closed to the local residents from Memorial day through Labor day due to capacity.

The indoor pool will be open during the summer from 2pm to 10pm

Kids Program

At Villa Roma, kids have their own ideas about vacation! We offer SEASONAL supervised children’s programs. Please call to find out if they will be available during your stay.

Our Hair and Nail salon offers an array of services from hair coloring and styling to waxing to manis/pedis and Bridal & bridal party hair styling.  Hair products are available for purchase. For appointments call 845 887 4221 or extension 7536 within the hotel.

The spa services are located by our indoor pool in private rooms. The rooms provide a quiet environment for you to drift off during your treatment. We have certified estheticians that provide all of our waxing and wraps helping you feel rejuvenated and release toxins that have been weighing you down. Massage therapists are available to perform a verity of massage techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, warm stone massages, and reflexology. Your spa services are reserved exclusively for you. Appointments are necessary for all services provided.  As a courtesy to our therapists and other guests, we require 24 hours notice if you must cancel. We reserve the right to charge for any late arrivals or appointments not canceled within 24 hours. All no shows will be charged full price for scheduled services. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the first appointment. Late arrivals will not receive an extension of their appointment.

Nightlife

Resorts aren’t only for families, we provide entertainment for all age ranges. Exclusive nightly shows and events are held for adults, along with our family events. This way you can decompress or turn up the way you see fit. Day or night we offer drinks at any of our bars around property. During our warmer seasons you can expect our night life activities to take place outdoors as well. We offer fun around our bonfires with s’mores and evening hikes. There’s never enough time to get to everything the Villa Roma offers. All this and more included in your stay.

OTB Parlor

Villa Roma has its own Off Track Betting parlor. Today may be your lucky day! Enjoy the sport of kings in our comfortable OTB Lounge. Watch as many as 6 different races as they are simulcast live to Villa Roma on our big screen TVs from Racetracks around the country. Imagine the excitement of viewing the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, the Belmont Stakes, the Breeder’s Cup or simply your favorite racetrack and cheering on your picks. Not to mention the excitement of collecting your winnings as soon as the race is over!

Also available in the Mezzanine Piano Bar, New York State’s Keno style game, Quick Draw – enjoy the thrill of betting on your lucky numbers and the rush of cashing in those winning tickets!

Shuttle to Resorts World Catskills

Shuttle Service Temporarily Suspended Due to Covid-19

At the Villa Roma Resort we welcome our new neighbors at Resorts World Catskill Casino. Resorts World Catskills is the largest casino in the area and we are happy to offer our loyal guests shuttle services to and from the casino on Wednesdays with two trips each way. As they say, Resorts World Catskills is “a casino where gaming meets luxury.” So we welcome you to stay with us and play a little extra with them. Just don’t forget to get back in time for our nightly entertainment. Seasonally we offer a kids program throughout the week to help you find time for yourself either on or off property.

Resort World Catskills is newly opened in February of 2018 and will continue to grow, with a water park and even more coming in the near future.  The resort has over 100,000 square feet of Las Vegas-styled gaming. It brings a whole new experience to the Catskills. Only thirty minutes away from the Villa Roma we offer shuttle service to Resorts World Catskills for just a small fee of $20 per person for a round trip. That way our hotel guests can stay here and play there. Book now and reserve your spot on the bus. All buses will be departing and returning to our main circle. Reservations must be made for departing and returning trips twelve hours prior to guarantee your seat. Horseback Riding

Currently closed until May 10, 2021

Our year round horseback riding services are offered by Hadley and his team. Past our paintball range you’ll find the stables. This service is an out sourced activity. The tour guide will ride a lovely spotted horse, Comanche, to lead the families and other guests and local residents on tours which travel through archers of scenic trails through dense woods and mountain tops. Each session lasts for about 45 minutes. Pony rides can also be requested for kids ages five to ten. These rides take place during the summer and are handled rides along a dirt road. We have five riding horses available for our trail rides named Sun Dance, which has been with us for over eighteen years, White Cloud, Levi, Basco, and Big Vanilla. We also have two goats on property that like to hang out with the horses named Lavern and Shirley. Even if you’re not riding horses, you’re welcome to come and visit Lavern and Shirley. They love a bit of company or even a friendly pet hello. Reservations for horseback riding can be made at our hotel service desk in person or by calling 1-800-533-6767

Special Event Activities

During our special events throughout the year the Villa Roma’s own activities director, Doc Holiday, will be arranging specialty recreations along with our daily activities already offered. Events are subject to change and may have a minimal fee to participate. These activities are for people of all ages. Contests are a great way to find entertainment within your stay. They will be offered during events and may be things such as cake decorating competitions, sliced cooking competitions, family game wars, and Villa Roma’s got talent. During themed mid-weeks and weekends we will also have correlating fun taking place throughout the resort like soc-hops or gingerbread house building, keeping your stay stuffed full of things to do.
